Calvary Community Church Phoenix, AZ Ministries
Founded in 1982, Calvary Community Church in Phoenix, AZ is home to 12,000 members. The non-denominational Christian church offers a relaxed atmosphere for members and guests. Calvary Community Church has two locations in the Phoenix area: the central campus in a former shopping center at the I-17 and Thunderbird Road and the northwest campus in a former theater at 59th Avenue and Bell Road. The church staff encourages those who come to Calvary Community Church to take part in the many opportunities for fellowship.
Ministries are available for men and women of all ages, including young adults and senior citizens. The church also offers programs for married couples and for youths ranging from infancy to college age. A ministry for Indian fellowship and an outdoor ministry, called Fellowship Adventures, are also available. For those dealing with difficulties in life, Calvary Community Church has support groups for a range of challenges, including grief, divorce, and substance abuse. Attendees can further engage by taking one of Calvary Community Church’s many classes on such topics as the fundamentals of living the Christian faith, God-focused financial principles, marriage, and evangelism.
Several teams and outreach efforts are also important to the community. J. Mark Martin is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Community Church. He has more than 30 years of experience as a pastor teaching God’s Word. His teaching ministry, “Grace Upon Grace,” reaches people across the country and the world on the radio and Internet.
